Microsoft has finally released their price of Windows 7. Although one of Dell’s top guys said that Windows 7 would be more expensive than it’s previous os releases, Windows 7 can now be for as low as $49 for a limited time only. I don’t think anyone saw this coming. This low price comes on the heals of Apple releasing Snow Leopard, it’s new os upgrade, and is only trying to compete. This shows how scared Microsoft is of Apple. While Snow Leopard was only a upgrade to it’s current os Leopard, Microsoft has cut they’re price by more than half of it’s os, which is not an upgrade. Microsoft didn’t need to do this by far. While i’m not complaining myself. I will be pre-ordering my copy of windows 7.
Microsoft did make some gain. Japan has sold out on all pre-order copies of Windows 7. I bet Microsoft CEO is happy about that.
